Can a High Protein, Low Carb Diet Kill You
Many diets stress eating a low carb, low fat and high protein diet. This can be the worst thing for you. If you consume too much or fat or carbs, your body can store it as fat. Where does the body store the excess protein that you eat? Since it cannot be stored, the body has to break it down. People consume too much protein. Toxins and acids are created when your body breaks down protein.The acids cause your body to remove calcium from your bones to neutralize the acids. When the body breaks down the protein, the toxins created can attack your arteries causing strokes, high blood pressure and heart attacks. College textbooks on nutrition say that protein deficiency is rare in the world and does not exist in this part of the world. What this means is that even though there are millions starving to death due to a lack or fats and carbs, it is rare for them to not get enough protein.The brain needs lots of carbs.
